ORDINANCE NO. 86-4-2823
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS OF SINGLE FAMILY AND CHURCH
CONNECTION FEES
WHEREAS, on October 22, 1985, the City of Paducah adopted Ordinance No. 85-10-2754,
entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNT TO BE CHARGED FOR CONNECTING TO CITY SANITARY
SEWERS CONSTRUCTED BY THE CITY KNOWN AS THE WEST END SEWER PROJECTS; NAMELY CROOKED CREEK
(PHASE I), CROOKED CREEK (PHASE II), PHILLIPS PARK, APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF SEWER ALONG
HIGHWAY 60, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CONNECTION PERMITS, PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT
OF THE CONNECTION CHARGES, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF",
and Ordinance No. 85-10-2755, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNT TO BE CHARGED
FOR CONNECTING TO CITY SANITARY SEWERS CONSTRUCTED BY THE CITY ALONG HIGHWAY 60, SHORT
EXTENSION OF PERKINS CREEK, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CONNECTION PERMITS, PROVIDING
FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE CONNECTION CHARGES, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE
PROVISIONS HEREOF"; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that provisions be made to provide for annual payments for
connection charges for single family residences and churches.
SECTION 1. Each single family residence and church will be allowed to pay
connection fee in four (4) equal, annual installments. The first installment is due one (1)
year from the date the connection permit is issued, and each additional payment shall be made
annually in the same amount as the original payment.
SECTION 2. The sewer lines have been completed, and in order to promote immediate
usage of the sewer system to alleviate potential health problems, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective with one reading.
