AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 10-52, 10-53, 10-54, 10-55, 10-56, 10-59, 10-60 and
10-61, "CIVIL SERVICE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 10-52 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall
hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 10-52. Street Department - Generally.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Street
Department, and the salaries of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion
of consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the City
Manager:

the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so
that the same as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:

(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions not
assigned to any department of the City of Paducah, but directly under the supervision
of the City Manager, and the salary of each position that shall be paid upon satis-

(b) The chief of the maintenance division may designate one employee
maintenance specialist in his department to act as a lead man or part-time working
foreman to serve in such capacity at the direction of the chief of the maintenance
division. ®ria-seed►-t-i-ag-the--e-i-e-lie-ire ree-uivr-g-e--l-eaiFe-- The
employee maintenance specialist so designated shall be paid an additional $A--115 1.00
per hour during such times as the employee maintenance specialist designated actually
serves in such capacity.

SECTION 9. In order for these raises to be effective April 1, 1986, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage with one reading.
