HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-2-2797500 ORDINANCE NO. 86-2-2797 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MORROW MICROFILM IN THE 'AMOUNT OF APPROXIMATELY $4,845.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE MICROFILM READER/PRINTER AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED BY THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR'TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE WHEREAS, the City of Paducah was given a grant for the purchase of :miotofilm equipment by the Kentucky State Department of Archives; and WHEREAS, this equipment is approved by the Kentucky State Department of Archives. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the -City of Paducah accept the bid of Morrow Microfilm in the amount of approximately $4,845.00 for one microfilm reader/printer and accompanying equipment to be used in the Engineering Department, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by Municipal Order passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 26, 1985, and as contained in the bid of Morrow Microfilm of December 18, 1985. SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with Morrow Microfilm for sale to the City of one microfilm reader/printer and equipment, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account Number 10-500-310-503. SECTION 3. Due to the delay in processing subsequent to bids being received, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage with one reading.
