City of Paducah June10 , 1971
At a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4-:30 P.M: on June 10, 1971, Mayor
Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Fisher, Harvey,__Horns'by; Puryear and. Mayor Cherry (5) . -

Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that the
executed copy of an Agreement by the Mayor and Commissioners for a Special Meeting
of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, to be held on June 10, 1971 at
4:30 o'clock p.m., be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, as follows:
I move that there be no reprisals or reprimands taken against any union member by
any official or supervisor for participating in the work stoppage from 4:30 p.m.,
June 9, 1971 to 7:00 a.m., June 11, 1971, and provided all employees return to work
by 7:00 a.m., June 11, 1971 the Board will permit a hearing on all grievances filed
as provided in the contract between the City and Union dated May 10, 1970. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor
Cherry (5) .
Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that a Resolutior
entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO FILE
LEGAL ACTION TO ENJOIN STRIKES AND WORK STOPPAGES BY CITY EMPLOYEES", be adopted.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear
and Mayor Cherry (5) .
On motion the meeting adjourned.
