At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber)
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M; on Juin6"8; 1971,- Mayor Cherry
presided and 'upon call of therIWI-1, the following arisw@red to their names: Comm issionei
Fisher, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4), Commissioner Harvey being absent.
Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that the reading
of the Minutes for May 11, May 25, and June 1, 1971 be waived andthat the Minutes of
said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher,'Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry -(4).
er;,/ Commissioner Fisher offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that upon
the recommendation of the'City Manager the following personnel changes be made:
1. Frank Miller be' employed` as `maintenance 'helper 'in the Maintenance Department,
at a salary of $2.73 per hour, retroactive to June 7, 1971
2. The following, be employed as temporary laborers in the Refuse Division of the
Public Works' Department, retroactive 'to June 7, '1971',' at� a salary of $2.00
per hour; _

Riders of Insurance from National Indemnity Company to Kelly Transportation Company,

resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE SIDEWALKS, DRIVEWAYS, CURBS AND GUTTERS
IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH_, KENTUCKY", be -adopted. Adopted on call of the -Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fisher_,. Hornsby, Puryear. and Mayor Cherry ,(4) .
Commissioner Hornsby.,offered motion, seconded,by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID_OF CAN-TEX INDUSTRIES -FOR SALE TO
CITY OF SEWER PIPE AND ACCESSORIES FOR USE BY THE _PUBLIC WORKS,DEPARTMENT_IN THE CON-
STRUCTION OF SEWERS, AND.AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH
PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherru (4).

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOE C. MARSHALLTOPURCHASE THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN TWO LOTS ON GARFIELD AVENUE .FOR THE SUM OF $225.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE:A QUITCLAIM DEED", .be adopted.

WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND ONE (1) new ONE-HALF TON -PICK-UP TRUCK, FOR USE IN THE CEMETERY
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,- AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASES", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

ONE NEW 1971 FOUR -DOOR SEDAN AUTOMOBILE FOR USE BY THE CITY MANAGER AND AUTHORIZING TB
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE'A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4).
Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that an ordinance
entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ESTABLISHING COMPREHENSIVE
ZONING REGULATIONS AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT AND AMENDMENTS
THEREOF, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE KENTUCKY REVISED STATUTES,
CHAPTER 100, ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF KENTUCKY, AND FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL
LAWS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll,- Yeas,
Commissioners Fisher, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4).
