Kelley Trans- portation Co City of Paducah April 13 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on April 13, 1971, Mayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that the reading of the Minutes for March 9, 16 and 26, 1971 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry made the following appointments: The term of office of various members of the Human Rights Commission having expired, I hereby appoint the following individuals for a term of one year to fill the vacancies thereby created: H. Commissioner Fisher offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Hamock Funeral Home of the southeast corner (south one-half) of Lot No. 420 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, a Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Fisher offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey as follows: I move that the following bids on parking meters be received and filed: Rockwell Manufacturing Company Rees Traffic Equipment I further move that the letter from Rhodes Parking Meters declining to submit a bid, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that the Certificate of Insurance for The Kelley'Transportation Company, Inc. covering the period from April 1, 1971 through April 1, 1972, naming the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as an additional insured, which insurance was provided by National Indemnity Company through The Western Rivers Agency, Inc., be received, approved and filed. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT TO BE USED IN THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT,.AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted.. Rothrock, Chief -of -the Fire Depar of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, against Julian Upshaw, a member of the Fire Department, be received and filed, and I further move that a hearing on said Charges be -held -on April 16, 1971 at the hour of 3 o'clock p.m., in the Commission Chamber in the City Hal' in Paducah, Kentucky, and that the City Clerk immediately notify the said Julian Upshaw of such charges against him, and the date, time and -place of said -hearing -by having a true copy of said charges served upon -him, together with the Notice of the date, time a place of hearing.
