At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the_ -Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 1:15 p..m., on May 28, 1970; Mayor Cherry
presided and upon. call of. the Roll the. -following answered..to-their.names Commissioner
Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby,- Puryea-r and Mayor -Cherry (5) .
Mayor.Cherry offered motion that the executed copies. -of- the.Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 1:15 p.m., on May 28, 1970, -be received and filed. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher.; Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherryl
Mayor Cherry made the following appointments: Mrs.. L. C. Kolb, Mrs. Charles
Billington;. Mrs. Jack Tick, Mrs. Raymond Roof and Mrs. James Renf-ro having -resigned
as members of the Civic Bea-utification Board, I hereby, subject to the approval of the
Board of Commissioners, -appoint the following as members of said Board for teams
expiring July 5, 197-0::,-.
Mrs. Clyde Lawter
Mrs. French D. Helsley
Mrs. Patrick J. Morello
Mrs. Jack -,Piers
Mrs. Houston McNutt
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Robert C. Cherry appointing members
of the Civic Beautification Board for terms expiring July 5, 1970. Adopted on call of
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, •,Harvey., Hornsby, .Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5) .
Commissioner Fisher offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR TWO (2) 3 WHEEL REFUSE VEHICLES FOR USE IN THE REFUSE -DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY, AND
PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE", be
adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby,
Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5) .
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR TWO (2) REFUSE PACKERS AND TRUCKS FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DIVISION OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE
SHALL BE MADE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher,
Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
