Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on April 7, 1970, be rece ved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsk Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the petition signed by Rev. C. G. Greer and others, requesting the opening of an alley between Monroe and Madison from 19th -Street half way to 21st Street, be received and filed. Adopted on call -of the Roll,. Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5) . Mayor Cherry made the following appointments: WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Highways has requested me to appoint three representatives for the City of Paducah on a Technical Advisory Committee to assist the said department in implementing a comprehensive transportation study for the Paducah Urban Area, NOW THEREFORE, I appoint the following individuals to represent the City of Paducah on said Technical Advisory Committee: James J. McGraw J. Patrick Kerr Tom Perdew, City Planner Each of the above named individuals shall serve until the completion of said studl or until he resigns, or until replaced by the Mayor.. Fehr, Director, Division of Planning, Commonwealth of Kentucky Department of Highways, to Mayor Robert C. Cherry, dated April 2, 1970, regarding the establishment of a Policy Committee and Technical Advisory Committee for a planning study of the Paducah Urban Area, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Fisher offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the claim of Fred DeBold in the amount of $40.00 for damages caused by a refuse truck backing into his vehicle near 21st and Jackson Streets on March 3, 1970, be allowed, a that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a comple and final release. A. Williams & Associates, the' sum of $1,250.-00 as full settlement °of all °claims against the City of Pa­_ucah; and incorporated in McCracken Circuit Court Civil Action No. 6822, 'after first receiving a complete and final release. Said payment to`be charged to Account No. 1565; Suits and Claims.
