T .Wilkinson Contract with County landfi property N 1972 401 a At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m. on Auggst 29, 1972, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m. on August 29, 1972, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Mayor McNutt made the following appointment: Ernest Mitchall having resigned as a member of the Paducah -McCracken County Recreational, Tourist and Convention Commission, I hereby appoint Thomas W. Wilson a member of said Commission to fill the unexpired term of the said Ernest Mitchell, so that said Commission will now consist of the following members to serve the following prescribed terms: Douglas Rose 3 year term, expiring December 31, 1973 Coy Stacey 3 year term, expiring December 31, 1973, Harold Van Morgan, Sr. 3 year term, expiring December 31, 1974 Merilyn Keesee 3 year term, expiring December 31, 1974 Gary Arant 3 year term, expiring December 31, 1974 Thomas W. Wilson 4 year term, expiring December 31,!1974 Ernie Long 4 year term, expiring December 31, 1974 Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the letter of resignation of Milton M. Livingston, Jr., as Assistant Corporation Counsel, Police Court, dated August 25, 1972, be received, filed and accepted with regret, effective August 31, 1972. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert., Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, as follows: on recommendation of the City Manager, I move that the following personnel change be made: Raymond Larson be employed as Assistant Corporation Counsel, Police Court, at- a monthly salary of $433.00 effective September 1,-1972. Adopted'on call of the Roll, Yeas,:Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear-and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner:Hornsby, that the,,. Certificate of :Insurance issued by The. Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to.- W. o._W. T. Wdlkinson and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period -of one year from September 14, 1972, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt- (5).. Commissioner -Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the contract between McCracken County and the City of Paducah, for the. use of approximately 100 acres of county property for City landfill, be received, approved and filed. Liability Inp Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear that the Frank Ingram Certificate of Insurance issued by Security Insurance Company of Hartford to Frank Ingram d/b/a Frank Ingram Contractor for a period of one year from August 21, 1972, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Liability In Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that Mathis Plb & Heating the Certificate of Insurance issued by National Surety Corporation to Mathis Plumbing a Heating for a period of one year from August 21, 1972, be received, approved and filed.. Settle claim l;'A` Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the C.A.Goodwin claim of C. A. Goodwin in the amount of $175.00 for damages to his automobile caused by a collision with a Park Department vehicle on July 21, 1971 at the intersection of 6th and Caldwell Streets be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay l said claim after first obtaining a completeandfinal-r.eiease. Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR AMBULANCE SERVICE IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND ANGLES OF MERCY INC., AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH CONTRACT SHALL BE MADE", be adopted. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION . 27-.50 ' SAME -EXCEPTIONAL _CASE.S' - OF',.;; THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PERTAINING TO REFUSE COLLECTIONS", be adopted. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF B & B CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE II OF THE PADUCAH RIVERFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that a,n ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17-74 'BUILDING TRADES' AND SECTION 17-79 (i) 'CONTRACTS AND BUILDERS', OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY"1,1 be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert Pyear and Mayor McNutt (5).. Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH THE KENTUCKY PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT OFFICE FOR PLANNING ASSISTANCE IN FISCAL YEAR 1973, AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SUCH CONTRACT", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
