Jacobs Board of Commissioners ---city of June 20, 1972 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5:00 p.m. on June 20, 1972, Mayor Pro -tem Puryear presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners -Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert -and Mayor Protem Puryear (4), Mayor McNutt being absent. Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by -Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to,be held at 5:00 p..m. on June 20, 1972, be received and filed.- Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the following personnel changes be made: 1. Roy Lee be employed as temporary Food Truck,Driver in.the Park Department at a salary of $1.60 per hour, retroactive to June 19, 1972. 2. The following Senior Recreation Leaders be employed in the Park Department, at a salary of $1.60 per hour; retroactive to June 19, 1972: Gregory Boyd Workhoven Leslie Perdew Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City -of Paducah to Mrs. James Rice of the northeast corner of Lot No. 358 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the executed copy of Amendment No. 1 to Code Enforcement Project KY. E-2, dated June 12, 1972, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioner Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4). Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and West Kentucky Equipment Company for sale to the City of one pull type sweeper for use in the Street Department, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF GEORGE G. JACOBS TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTY KNOWN AS 607 BOYD STREET FOR THE SUM OF $450.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah June 26.'1972' Repeal ordinanc temporarily closing South 25th Street 377 -:Mayor Protem Puryea-r °offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE TEMPORARILY CLOSING SOUTH 25TH STREET BETWEEN BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY AVENUE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION AND EXTENSION AT WESTERN BAPTIST HOSPITAL', WHICH ORDINANCE WAS ADOPTED ON AUGUST 3, 1971", be adopted.
