Patrick Kerr resignation � .Planning Com:.` Request bids small compact car for Crime Scene Unit City of Paducah June 13, 1972 At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber'', in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m., on June 13, 1972, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,_ Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Mayor McNutt offered motion, -seconded by Commissioner,Hornsby, that the reading of the Minutes for May 23, -June 6 and June 9,.r L9;72 be 'waived,, and ..that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved'as written. Adopted on call of t Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor- McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by.Comm-issioner Hornsby, that the petition dated May 31, 1972, signed by W: R. Sanders and others, •requesting furnishing of facilities of water and sewage to certain places of business located on Estelle Street, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,.Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the contract between the City and Ray H. Mullen Motor Company for the purchase of a station wagon for use by the Parks Director, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Rolll Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the following personnel changes be made: 1. Bruce Fowler be employed as part-time laborer in the Park Department, at a salary of $2.00 per hour, effective June 5, 1972. 2. Marvin Graves be employed as a Senior Recreation Leader in theP""ark Department, at a salary of $50.00 per week, effective June 12, 1972. 3. Dwight Mills be employed as Golf Instructor in the Park Department, at $15.00 per session, effective June 12, 1972. 4. Arnold Porter be employed as temporary pool personnel in the Park Department, at a salary of $1.65 per hour, effective June 12, 1972. 5. James Anderson, lifeguard in the Park Department, salary be increased from $1.85 to $1.90 per hour. 6. The resignation of Charles Yandell, part-time Park Patrolman, be accepted effective June 10, 1972. 7. David L. Collier, part-time laborer in the Park Department, be terminated effective June 8, 1972. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and yor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the letter of resignation of J. Patrick Kerr, Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paducah, dated June 1, 1972, to be effective July 1, 1972, be received, filed and accepted with regret. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners rvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS Proceedings. of Board o - Commissioners City of Increase fees opening and closing graves Sundays, etc j Sell lot to A.F .Warren Little Ave. 375 FOR ONE SMALL COMPACT AUTOMOBILE TO BE USED BY THE CRIME -SCENE UNIT OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND ''PRESCRIBING-THE'TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE", be adopted'. ---Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an ordinance entitled "AN 'ORDINANCE AMENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 8-3-6 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF' PADUCAH, ` KENTUCKY'; PERTAINING TO THE CHARGES FOR -OPENING AND CLOSIN OF GRAVES IN OAK GROVE CEMETERY". }beadopted. - Adopted ' on call of the -Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,'Hornsby, Lambert`,'Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that - an ordinance entitled "AN rORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID --OF A: F': WARREN TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT 19, BLOCK 1,, OF J. W. LITTLE ADDITION, FORMERLY KNOWN AS 1623 LITTLE AVENUE, FOR THE SUM OF $300.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED", be adopted.
