HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/16/72No. Proceedings of. 356 Board of Commissioners City of May 16, 1972 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m. on May 16, 1972, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:3- p.m. on May 16, 1972, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). !r Jerry Page Mayor McNutt made the following appointment:,. appointed Library Bd. The term of office of George Crounse as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Public Library will expire on June 14, 1972, effective from and after that date, I hereby appoint Jerry Page as a member of said Board for a term of four _(4).: years, so that said Board shall be composed of the following members: Jack Rottgering whose term expires June 14, 1972 Betty Whitlow whose term expires June 14, 1973 Lynn M. Cherry whose term expires June 14, 1973 Mary Yeiser whose term expires June 14, 1974 Lionel Minnen whose term expires June 14, 1974 Dr. C. P. Orr whose term expires June 14, 1975 Jerry Page whose term expires June 14, 1976 Pat Cvengros Mayor McNutt made the following appointment: appointed Riverport Jerry Page having resigned as a member of the Paducah -McCracken County Riverport Authority Authority, I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, appoint Pat Cvengros to serve during said unexpired term, so that the Riverport Authority shall be composed of the following members: J. S. Piers whose term expires September 26, 1973 Gresham Hougland whose term expires September 26, 1974 Pat Cvengros whose term expires September 26, 1975 Approve PatCommissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the Cvengros on Riverport Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Alice H. McNutt appointing Pat Authroity II Cvengros a member of the Paducah -McCracken County Riverport Authority. Reappoint Mayor McNutt made the following appointment: Gresham Houg- land & Noble The term of office of Gresham Hougland and Noble Clark as members of the Urban Clark -Urban jRenewal Bd. Renewal and Community Development Agency expired on February 23, 1973, I hereby, subjec to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, reappoint the said Gresham Hougland and Noble Clark to serve as members of said Agency for further terms of four years each, so that said Agency shall be composed of the following members: Rev. Chole Gill Stroud be -employed as ticket seller in the Park Department, at a salary of $1.60 per hour, effective May 15, 1972. 2. The following laborers in the Refuse Department be placed under Civil Service for such positions, effective May 15, 1972; provided they furnish at their expense, a sarisfactory medical report as to their physical condition: James E. Mayes at 7:00 a.m. Francis Lee Jackson at 7:05 a.m. George Riley at 7:10 a.m. Bobby White at 7:15 a.m.: Oscar V. Page as a member of the Paduca-h-McCracken-County Riverport Authority, effective April 30, 1972, be received, accepted and filed. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the executed copy of the Grant Agreement, dated April 11, 1972, between the United States of America Federal Aviation Agency and the City of Paducah and County of McCracken, Kentucky, for Contract NO. TODD UNIFORM RENTAL SERVICE FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH UNIFORMS FOR THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
