At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m. on May 9, 1972, Mayor Protem Puryear
presided in the absence of Mayor McNutt, and upon call of the Roll the following
answered to their names: Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem
Puryear (4) .
Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that
the reading of the Minutes for April 25 and May 2, 1972 be waived and that the
Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem
Puryear (4) .
V/ Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that
the following personnel changes be made:
H.B.W illiam 1. Wayne Ray Ryan, No. 2 Maintenance Man in the Maintenance Department, be
Supt Pool promoted to Meter Maintenance Man in said 'department, ata salary -of $3.03
Maintenance / per hour, retroactive to April 1, 1972.

2. H. B. Williams be employed as temporary superintendent of Pool Maintenance
in the Park Department, at..a salary.of -$2.50 per hour, retroactive to
May 4, 1972.

retroactive to May 5,' 1972:

4. John Ellis, Equipment Operator in the Street Department; be promoted to
Foreman in said Department, retroactive to May 1, 1972, at a salary of
$578.33 per month.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hor:.;nsby, Lambert and Mayor
Protem Puryear (4).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that
a .resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, APPROVING NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, AMENDED THIRD
ANNUAL INCREMENT THEREOF AND FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE",
be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) .
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby,
that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-19 (a) AND (b) OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call
of the roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and -Mayor Protem
Puryear (4).

That an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 2-47 (a)
NONCIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES -GENERALLY OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) .
On motion the meeting adjourned.
