Arnold Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear, and Mayor McNutt (4) . finisher in said department, retroactive to April 1, 1972. Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading of the Minutes for March 28 and April 4, 1972, be waived and that the Minutes of said in Parks meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Rol] L. C. Chism, truck driver in the street department, be promoted to Sewer Maintenan Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4). Promotions %Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the & changes Public Works following personnel changes be made: Horace Smith Kay Uvanni be temporarily employed as Clerk -typist -secretary in the police depart - James Barnhill 1. Horace Smith, sewer maintenance man in the street department, be promoted to Jas Thompson Class C operator in said department, retroactive to April 1, 1972. T.A.Nichols P. Roberts 2. James Barnhill, sewer maintenance man in the street department, be promoted to Joe Garner I Class C operator in said department, retroactive to April_l, 1972.. Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by commissioner Hornsby, that the°wCertifice of insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to W. H. Yancy & Sons Asphalt, Inc; W. C. Yancy; John Yancy and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the period from July 22, 1971 to July 22, 1972, be received, approved and files. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the cop, of the Amendatory Application for Code Enforcement Grant Mechanicsburg Area No. 2, dated April 1972, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4). / Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Easley Equipment Company, Inc. for sale to the City of a Brushchipper for use in the Public Works Department, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the letter of Allen and Associates, dated April 4, 1972, agreeing to make an audit of all accounts of the City of Paducah for the year 1972 for the sum of $5000.00, be received and filed. V Commissioner.-Puryear offered motion, seconded by Mayor McNutt, that the Contract between the City of Paducah and the American Federation.of State, County and Municipal Employees AFL-CIO Local 1586, which contract is dated Ma-rch 31, 1972, be- received and filed. No. 344 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah April 11, 1972 City Manager's Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the Budget Board of Commissioners receive and file a copy of the -budget prepared by Larry E. Thomas, City Manager, for the period from January 1, 1972 through December 31, 1972, and I further move that copies of the budget, which have been printed, be made available for distribution, and that a public hearing on said=budget be held at -the meeting of the Board of Commissioners. to be held at 5:00 p.m, on April.18, 1972. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF ALLEN AND ASSOCIATES, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, TO MAKE AN AUDIT OF THE ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND ALL CITY OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR 1972 IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYMENT TO THEM OF E SUM OF $5 000 00" be introduced and remain onfile for at least one (1) week for TH , public inspection in the completed form in which, it shall be put upon its final Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear passage. Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE LEVIES AND RATES OF TAXATION ON ALL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SUBJECT TO TAXATION FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES FOR THE YEAR 1972, WITH THE PURPOSES OF SAID TAXES THEREUNDER DEFINED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE APPORTIONMENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1972 AND APPROPRIATING THE PUBLIC REVENUE AND INCOME OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR SUCH PURPOSES", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
