At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m., on February 15, 1972, Mayor
McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4), Commissioner Harvey
was absent.
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the executed
copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m., on February 15, 1972,
be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, as follows:
Upon the recommendation of the City Manager, I move that the following personnel
changes be made:
1. K.V.Smith, an Applicant -candidate in the Fire Department, has satisfactorily
completed the 60 day training period as such applicant -candidate as provided
by ordinance, he is hereby appointed a fireman in the Fire Department, at a
salary of $560.00 per month, effective February 28, 1972.
2. The resignation of Joyce Thomis, temporary clerk in the Finance office,
be accepted, retroactive to February 11, 1972.
3. Janet A. Metzger be employed as temporary clerk in the Finance office,
retroactive to February 14, 1972, at a salary of $250.00 per month.
4. Wayne Upshaw be employed as city engineer, effective March 20, 1972,
at a salary of $1,250.00 per month.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor
McNutt (4).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-51 ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the
roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4).
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 2-187 AUTOMOBILE ALLOWANCE, OF THE
OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7-28 "ELECTRICAL CODE ADOPTED' OF THE
CODE ,OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be "adopted . Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
