At a Called Meeting of the Board°of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:00 p.m. on December 29, 1972, Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissic
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, tl�at'the execut
copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4 o'clock p.m., on December 29,
1972, be received and filed. Adopted on call of' the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners"
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
claim of Mr. & Mrs. John W. Murt in the amount of $304.70 for damage to their 1967
Buick LaSaber caused by being struck by a City Maintenance Department truck, operated
by Cecil Trimble, on December 12, 1972 at 3rd and Jefferson Streets be allowed; and
that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a
complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4).
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the
Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Mrs. Clarence
Johnson of the North one-half of --Lot No. 140 in Block No. 9 -in the Rushing Addition
to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of
conveyance to said cemetery graves. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
reports of the Paducah Water Works for the month of December, 1972, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear
and Mayor McNutt (4) .
1 Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that Harold
Claypool, sewer maintenance man in the Street Department, be reclassified as street
repairman in said department, effective January 3, 1973, at a salary of $2.88 per
hour. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear
and Mayor McNutt (4) .
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF P
KENTUCKY, APPROVING NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, FOURTH ANNUAL INCREMENT THEREOF
AND FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE", be adopted. Adopted on cal:
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4).

Commissioner -Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF RAY H. MULLEN MOTOR COMPANY, INC.
FOR _THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1).1973 FOUR DOOR AUTOMOBILE FOR USE BY THE CITY
MANAGER, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE",
be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby. Lambert,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . -
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance
entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE WORKMAN'S COMPENSATION
INSURANCE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1973 WITH
WOODALL &_MELTON, INC.", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final
passage. Adopted on call of the Roll., Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby,,Lambert, Puryear
and Mayor McNutt (4) .
On motion the meeting adjourned.
