HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-6-7572ORDINANCE NO. 2009-6-7572 AN ORDINANCE RENAMING BLACKBURN PARK TO ROBERT COLEMAN PARK WHEREAS, on February 25, 1941, the City of Paducah adopted an ordinance that established and dedicated a portion of land bounded on the north by Caldwell Street, on the south by Husbands Street, on the east by 9th Street, and on the west by 10th Street. to Blackburn Park; and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to rename Blackburn Park to Robert Coleman Park to honor Commissioner Robert Coleman for recognition of his 31 years of service as a city commissioner. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; SECTION 1. That the name of Blackburn Park located between Caldwell Street, Husbands Street, Ninth Street and Tenth Street be renamed to Robert Coleman Park. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
