HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/02/75No. Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah December 2. 1975 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky,, at 4: 30 p.m. , on December 2, 1975, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m. , on December 2, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. The following be employed as temporary clerks in the Finance office, at a salary of $300.00 per month: Pauline Slankard - effective December 15, 1975 Dorothy L. Borton - effective December 15, 1975 Ann Simmons - effective January 15, 1976 Janet Metzger - effective January 15, 1976. 2. The following be employed as part-time Basketball Supervisors in the Parks & Recreation Department at a salary of $15.00 per session, effective December 12, 1975: Berny Miller Monte Peck James Winn Richard Ragland Robert Gross 3. Fredrick E. Myers be employed as part-time recreation specialist in the Parks & Recreation Department at a salary of $15.00 per session, effective December 3, 1975. 4. Otis Brown, collector in the Refuse Department, be terminated, retroactive to November 26, 1975. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, -Coleman, Hornsby , Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to Walker Boat Yard, Inc. , et al, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from October 15, 1975, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the executed copy of the Agreement between the City of Paducah and Clyde Boyles, dated November 26, 1975, agreeing that all electrical lines traversing his property that fronts on Alben Barkley Drive in connection with the sanitary sewer easement and pump station be permitted to remain above ground for a period of ten years commencing August 1, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Adopted on call on the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the r'- reports of the Paducah Water Works for the month of November, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the s executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Allan Rhodes, Inc. for sale to the city of a 1976 Ford LTD automobile for use by the Chief of Police and nine new 1976 Ford Custom 500 automobiles for use by the police department, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ARTICLE XXII 'CITIZENS EMERGENCY RELIEF - FAMILY SERVICE COMMITTEE' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt made the following appointments: I hereby, jointly with the Judge of McCracken County, appoint the following members of the Citizens Emergency Relief - Family Service Committee for terms of two (2) years each: Rev.
