Groves Street Department, be accepted, retroactive to August 4, 1975. Michael O. Finnell Carl Marquess, Jr. Cassandra Hendrix place under civil service 3. Michael 0. Finnell , truck driver in the Street Department, be placed Henry Coleman James Holland Jeanne Viterisi under civil service for such position, retroactive to August 4, 1975. Resignation Robert C . Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah August 5, 1975 Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Shawnee Fence Company for sale to the City of a chain link fence to be erected around Noble Park Lake, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Certificate of Insurance issued by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company to the City of Paducah covering work done by GDS Piping, for a period of one year from April 1, 1975, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the executed copy of the Contract, dated July 25 , 1975, between Seabrook, Lithgow and Kuj ath , Inc. and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in regard to Hickory Acres Subdivision, together with Bond in the amount of $100 , 000.00 , be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to W. H. Yancy & Sons Asphalt, Inc. for a period of one year from July 22, 1975, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the reports of the Paducah Water Works for the month of July, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . At this point Commissioner Brumley arrived at the meeting. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the following bids for sale to the City of two (2) new 1975 automobiles for use in the Inspection Department, be received and filed: Wilson Chevrolet -Cadillac, Inc. Allan Rhodes, Inc. Woodall Motor Sales Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, as follows: I move that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SUBSECTION 53.07 No. 441 File contract with Shawnee Fence Company - Noble Park Lake Certificate of Insurance GDS Piping /-File contract with Seabrook, Lithgow & Kuj ath - Hickory Acres Subdivision also Bond of $100, 000.00 Liability Insurance V W .H .Yancy & Sons Asphalt, Inc. V Settlement Sewer & Refuse for month of July, 1975 File bids on 2 automobiles for Inspection Department L . File Bond of Gregory Piping Company Accept bid of Allan Rhodes, 2 automobiles for use by V Inspection Department v' Accept bid of Sanco Corporation - Refuse truck No. City of Paducah August 5, 1975 'PUBLIC PARKING AREA' OF SECTION 53 'R-3, MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL ZONE' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY", be referred to the Planning Commission for the holding of a public hearing as required by KRS Chapter 424, and make a final written recommendation after the conducting of the aforesaid hearing to the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. It is further requested that said action of the Planning Commission be conducted as expeditiously as possible. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Summary of income and expenses submitted by the Kelley Transportation Company, Inc. for bus service within the City of Paducah for the month o �., 1975, be received and filed. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the insurance policy issued by State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company to Dalton Chandler & V. L. Chandler, dba Chandler Plumbing Company, for a period of one year from August 3, 1975, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Bond of Walter Gregory dba Gregory Piping Company, in the amount of $2,500. 00, be received, approved and filed. Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an Ic ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC., FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE 1975 FORD CUSTOM AND ONE 1975 MAVERICK TO BE USED BY THE INSPECTION DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SANCO CORPORATION FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A NEW 1974 MODEL G. M. C. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF FIRE EQUIPMENT SERVICE COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF AN AIR COMPRESSOR TO BE USED BY THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley , Coleman , Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-5 'QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS GENERALLY' OF ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 10 'CIVIL SERVICE' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $49129.38 TO SAMUEL TAYLOR FOR FULL AND COMPLETE SETTLEMENT OF ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE LAWSUIT ENTITLED SAMUEL TAYLOR VS. THE CITY OF PADUCAH. ET AL", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
