Settle claim of Bobby Cox Settlement Sewer & Refuse for June, 1975 File contract Jimar Paving Co. resurface streets File Agreement IC Gulf Railroad - Littleville access road No. City of Paducah July 1, 1975 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah,, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p. m. , on July 1, 1975, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call, of the Roll the following answered to their -names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) , Commissioner Hornsby was absent. Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p . m . , on July 1, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas., Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. The following be employed in the Parks and Recreation Department: Pan Wright as lifeguard at a salary of $1.65 per hour, retroactive to June 25, 1975 David A. Richardson as basketroom attendant at a salary of $1.50 per hour, retroactive to June 25, 1975 Brandon Warren as recreation leader at a salary of $56.00 per week, retro- active to June 30, 1975 Teresa Webb as recreation leader at a salary of $66.00 per week, effective July 7, 1975. 2. Robert M. Garrard, Jr . , recreation leader in the Parks and Recreation Department, be terminated, retroactive to June 16, 1975. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the claim of Bobby Cox in the amount of $50.00, for damage to the windshield of his 1964 Ford F 100, caused by a rock thrown by a lawn mower being operated by a city employee on Monroe between 4th and 5th Streets, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the reports of the Paducah Water Works for the month of June, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Jimar Paving Company, Inc. for resurfacing various streets in the City of Paducah, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the executed copy of the Agreement between the City of Paducah and Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Company, dated June 26, 1975, in connection with the construction of the proposed Littleville Access Road, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah July 1, 1975 Summary of income and expenses submitted by the Kelley Transportation Company, Inc., for 7z� ,. bus service within the City of Paducah for the month of , 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A CAB AND CHASSIS FOR THIRTY (30) CUBIC YARD FRONT LOADING REFUSE BODY FOR USE BY THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A THIRTY (30) YARD FRONT LOADING REFUSE COLLECTION TRUCK BODY FOR USE BY THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PETITION TO THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION REQUESTING CERTAIN WAIVERS OF THE FCC CABLE TELEVISION RULES AND REGULATIONS AND A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE BE GRANTED FOR THE PADUCAH, KENTUCKY CABLE TV SYSTEM", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF FRANK SIRLS , ROUTE 9, WATSON ROAD, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTY AT 1101 SOUTH 3RD STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $700.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT, NOT TO EXCEED $2,500. 00 , WITH ACTON RILEY FOR THE REMOVAL OF DEAD TREES AND DEBRIS FROM OAK GROVE CEMETERY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE AMENDMENT OF SUB -SECTION 40.171(e) OF THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971, AND AMENDING SAID ORDINANCE" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll., Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) .
