P .Orr Library Board Employ Marvin Nunn, J Refuse Dennis Weaver Sewage Treatment Robert Garrard, Jr Janitor Robert Puckett terminated Temporary Park & Rec . employees' Joe Cavitt - parks Water treatment City of Paducah No. June 17, 1975 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p. m. , on June 17, 1975, Mayor McNutt presided and upon 'call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman,, Hornsby,, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby,, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m. on June 17, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman ; Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt made the following appointment: Mrs. Golda Beaman having resigned as a member of the Kentucky Historical Events Celebration Commission Paducah -McCracken County Bicentennial Committee, I hereby appoint John Hornsby a member of said Committee to serve in the place of Mrs. Beaman. Mayor McNutt made the following appointment: The term of office of Dr. C. P. Orr as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Public Library having expired, I hereby reappoint Dr. C. P. Orr a member of said Board for a further term of four years , 'so that said Board shall be composed of the following members: Jerry Page whose term expires June 14, 1976 Richard Roberts whose term expires June 14, 1976 Betty Whitlow whose term expires June 14, 1977 H. C. Mathis whose term expires June 14, 1977 Lionel Minnen whose term expires June 14, 1978 Mrs. Malcolm Jones whose term expires June 14, 1978 Dr. C. P. Orr whose term expires June 14, 1979 Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made: 1. Marvin Nunn, Jr. , be employed as collector in the Refuse Department, at a salary of $3.23 per hour, retroactive to June 16, 1975. 2. Dennis Weaver be employed as sewage treatment plant operator in the Sewage Disposal Department , at a salary of $642.00 per month , retroactive to June 14 , 1975. 3. Robert Garrard, Jr. , be employed as temporary janitor in the Maintenance Department, at a salary of $2.10 per hour, retroactive to June 16 , 1975. 4. Robert Puckett, temporary laborer in the Cemetery Department , be terminated , retroactive to May 27, 1975. 5. The following be employed in the Parks and Recreation Department, retroactive to June 12, 1975: Mike Wallis as part-time mechanic, at a salary of $3.00 per hour. Stephanie Conkwright as lifeguard, at a salary of $1.65 per hour . Richard J. Maziarka as temporary laborer, at a salary of $2.10 per hour. 6. The salary of Debroah McCann, lifeguard in the Parks & Recreation Department, be changed from $1.75 per hour to $1.85 per hour, retroactive to May 25, 1975. 7. Joe Cavitt be employed as water treatment man in the Parks and Recreation Department, at a salary of $2.85 per hour, retroactive to June 11, 1975. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Hamock Funeral Home of the Northeast corner of Lot No. 314 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery for the sum of $100.00 (Receipt No. 1699) , and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE STATEMENT OF ANTICIPATED REVENUE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1, 1975 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1975; REVISING AND AMENDING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS , REVENUE AND INCOME ON HAND, AND COLLECTED AND TO BE COLLECTED FOR SAID PERIOD; AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF UNUSED APPROPRIATIONS FOR ONE PURPOSE TO ANOTHER PURPOSE; MAKING SUCH TRANSFERS; APPROPRIATING AVAILABLE REVENUES NOT INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET FOR SAID PERIOD; FIXING THE APPORTIONMENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED THEREIN; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 (B) (5) OF CHAPTER 71 'CABLE COMMUNICATIONS' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF RAY BLACK & SON, INC. , FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CLASSROOM AND DEMONSTRATION BUILDINGS FOR USE BY THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) , Commissioner Brumley voted "No". Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PARTICIPATION IN THE COUNTY EMPLOYES RETIREMENT SYSTEM ESTABLISHED IN KRS 78.510 TO 78.991" , be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. 421 Sell grave in Rushing Add - Hamock Funeral Home Reapportionment Ordinance for V/ first six months of 1975 Amend Cable Television Ordinance Accept bid Ray Black & Son +� classroom & demonstration buildings - fire dept.
