Board of Commissioners City of Paducah May 20, 1975 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambers in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p.m. , on May 20, 1975, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4), Commissioner Brumley was absent (1) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 p . m . , on May 20, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear , that upon recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. David Shellman be employed as laborer in the Maintenance Department at a salary of $3.23 per hour, retroactive to May 19, 1975. 2. Paul Rudd be employed as maintenance man No. 2 in the Parks and Recreation Department at a salary of $3.66 per hour, retroactive to May 19, 1975. 3. The following be employed as water treatment men in the Parks and Recreation Department at a salary of $2.85 per hour, retroactive to May 19, 1975: Kevin Walker H. B. Williams Don Smith 4. David Leon Rose, Jr . , be employed as recreation leader in the Parks and Recreation Department at a salary of $78.00 per week, retroactive to May 19, 1975. 5. The following persons be temporarily employed in the Parks and Recreation Department, retroactive to May 19, 1975: Sharon Cargill Pool Manager $100.00 per week Lyman Brown Pool Manager $100.00 per week Augie Schiller Pool Manager $100.00 per week Henry Paul, Jr. Pool Manager $100.00 per week Teresa Alexander Ticket Seller $1.85 per hour Annella Travis Ticker Seller $1.75 per hour Brenda Berry Ticket Seller/Basketroom $1.75 per hour Melissa Alexander Concession Stand Attendant $1.65 per hour Vanessa Harmon " $1.70 per hour Tammy Young it $1.65 per hour Lisa Kim Floyd it $1.65 per hour Jerel Keith Baucum Basketroom Attendant $1.50 per hour Clinton Strohmeir it $1.60 per hour Michael K. Adkins and wife, dated May 13, 1975, recorded in Deed Book 571, page 444 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CLASSROOM AND DEMONSTRATION BUILDINGS FOR THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH A CONTRACT MAY BE LET", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $19 507.74 TO GRESHAM & KERR, JOHN KEELING ASSOCIATES, FOR SERVICES RENDERED IN CONNECTION WITH TOWNLIFT AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID ARCHITECTURAL FIRM FOR FUTURE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES REQUIRED BY TOWNLIFT" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BELMONT EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF TWO (2) 1975 MODEL THREE WHEEL VEHICLES TO BE USED FOR ENFORCEMENT OF PARKING METER REGULATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $1,250. 00 TO Mary BOAZ FOR A PERMANENT RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE ELMDALE ROAD EXTENSION", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah May 20. 1975 Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $8,389. 00 TO DONALD E. PECK FOR A PERMANENT RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE LITTLEVILLE ACCESS ROAD", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $10, 000.00 TO WADE DAVIS FOR A PERMANENT RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE LITTLEVILLE ACCESS ROAD". be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $5 , 000.00 TO JOE C. MARSHALL , TRUSTEE, FOR A PERMANENT RIGHT- OF-WAY FOR THE LITTLEVILLE ACCESS ROAD" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION OF A MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY', WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 6 , 1939 , AND LAST AMENDED ON FEBRUARY 29, 1972", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . On motion the meeting adjourned .
