Keith Mick Spencer DuLaney No. At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambers in the City' Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p.m. , on May 6, 1975, Mayor Protem Puryear presided in the absence of Mayor McNutt, and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 p.m., on May 6, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the Certificates of Insurance naming the City of Paducah, Kentucky as additional insured under insurance policies issued to Comcast Cable of Paducah, Inc. by Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company and American Home Assurance Company, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the reports of the Paducah Water Works for the month of April, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Reed Crushed Stone Company, Inc. be received and filed, and that the performance bond required by said contract, executed by said Company as principal and United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore, Maryland as surety, be received, approved and filed. Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the following bids for sale to the City of two (2) 1975 3 -wheel vehicles for use in the Police Depart- ment, be received and filed: Ky. . - Inna Turf Supply Belmont Equipment Company, Inc. Adopted on call of the Roll,, Yeas,, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Mayor Protem Puryear, that upon recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. Larry Myers, truck driver in the Street Department, be promoted to equipment operator C in the Cemetery Department, at a salary of $3.76 per hour, retroactive to April 28, 1975. 2. Marquis Reed, street repairman in the Street Department, be reclassified to the position of truck driver, at a salary of $3.46 per hour, effective May 12, 1975. 3. The following be employed as temporary truck drivers in the Parks and Recreation) ]apartment at a salary of $2.25 per hour, effective May 8, 1975: Keith Mick Spencer Dulaney Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah May 6, 1975 4. Brenda Kay Florence be employed as temporary stenographer in the Parks and Recreation Department at a salary of $2.25 per hour, effective .May 12, 1975. 5. David Charles Swope be employed as temporary laborer in the Cemetery J ]apartment at a salary of $2.10 per hour, retroactive to May 1, 1975. 6. The termination of Kenneth Johnson, maintenance man #2 in the Parks and Recreation Department, retroactive to May 2, 1975. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the bid of Jimar Paving Company, dated May 5 , 1975 , for resurfacing various streets in the City of Paducah, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas , Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby. and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a copy of the action taken by the Board of Commissioners on April 29, 1975, denying the grievances of David Jeffords and Harold Claypool, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A WAIVER OF PLANNING FUNDS FOR THE REGIONAL CRIME COUNCIL TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE PURCHASE AREA DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT", be adopted. Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-54, CEMETERY DEPARTMENT, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIMAR PAVING COMPANY , INC. FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY , AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH RESURFACING", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-47 (a) 'NONCIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES GENERALLY', OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY", be adopted.
