Equipment Company repair parts for Track Loader Settle claim of Floyd Carter Employ temporary floodwall pump operator Employ temporary floodwall pump operator Jesse English-Resigna City of Paducah No. March 19, 1975 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall , Paducah, Kentucky , at 4: 30 p. m. , on March 17 , 1975 , Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m., on March 17, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the Memorandum of Insurance issued by CarolinaL,Casualty Insurance Company to Kelley Transportation, Inc. for a period of one year from February 22 , 1975 , be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby , Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and West Kentucky Equipment Company for sale to the city of various parts to be used in the repair of a Case 1150 track loader, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas , Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the claim of Floyd Carter in the amount of $41.86 for damage to his 1970 Ford LTD caused by being struck by a City of Paducah Inspection Department vehicle, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that upon recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made: 1. The termination of Kenneth Abernathy, collector in the Refuse Department, retroactive to March 12, 1975. 5. Barry Arant be employed as collector in the Refuse Department, at a salary of $2.98 per hour, effective March 17, 1975. 6. Harold Guill, maintenance helper in the Maintenance Department, be promoted to No. 2 maintenance man in said department, effective March 17, 1975. 7. The following temporary employees in the Parks Department be terminated effective March 17, 1975: Berny Miller Ricky Ragland Robert Gross Bill Shelton Arnold Hearon Monte Peck James Winn Dennis Gibson Don Smith June Hull Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the following bids for sale to the City of six (6) metal shelters to be erected in various parks, be received and filed: Hunter- Knep shield Company Frank Johnson & Associates Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby,, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Van Sickle Tractor Sales & Service Company for sale to the city of a Terramite Series 15 mini backhoe and end loader to be used by the Cemetery Department, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Allan Rhodes, Inc. for sale to the city of a 1975 Ford Maverick, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the following bids for sale to the City of Paducah of a truck mounted vacuum type street sweeper, be received and filed: Environmental Control Equipment Rudd Woodall Motor Sales Allan Rhodes, Inc. C210412-01-0 BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND THE UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, FOR THE PREPARATION OF A FACILITIES PLAN FOR A WASTE TREATMENT PROJECT, AND INDICATING THE CITY OF PADUCAH'S ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS OF THE AFORESAID GRANT AGREEMENT" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF TABLES AND CHAIRS FOR USE IN THE JAYCEE CIVIC CENTER, AND PRESCRIBING THE MANNER IN WHICH BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HUNTER-KNEPSHIELD COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF SIX (6) METAL SHELTERS TO BE ERECTED IN VARIOUS PARKS , AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF RUDD WOODALL MOTOR SALES FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) TRUCK MOUNTED VACUUM TYPE STREET SWEEPER TO BE USED BY THE STREET DEPARTMENT , AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FIR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE JAYCEE CIVIC CENTER PROPERTY AT 2701 PARK AVENUE, PADUCAH. KENTUCKY", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. FOR THE CONSTRUC- TION OF RESTROOM FACILITIES IN STUART NELSON PARK, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION" , be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage .
