Approve appointment of Civic Beautifi- cation Board Appoint Mrs. Herbert Simp,, Human Rights Commission Board of Commissioners City of July 24, 1973 At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber P in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at -7:30 p.m., on July '24; '1973, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: „Commissioners Hornsby Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4), Commissioner Harvey -being absent. Mayor McNutt offered 'motion , seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading of the -Minutes for July 10 and 1`7, 1973 be'waived and that" `the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City -Clerk be 'approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby;' Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) Mayor McNutt made'the following appointment: Chalres Clark having resigned as a member'of`the 'Paducah Planning Commission, y I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, appoint -Mrs. Walter R. Penny to serve as a member of said Commission for the remainder of the term of the said Charles Clark, so that said Commission shall now be composed of the following members: Andrew S . Wood whose term expires August 31, 1973 ' Richard A. Williams whose term expires August 31, 1973 Mrs Irene Keiler whose term expires August 31, 1974 ,Mrs., Walter R. Penny whose term, expires_August 31, .1974, H. Eugene Fisher'whose term expires August 31, 1975 Robert D. Seat'whose term expires August 31, 1975 Wilbur M. Mundy Mrs. Howard Woodall Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Alice H. McNutt appointing Mrs. Walter R. Penny as a member of the Paducah Planning Commission. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Lambert offered motion , seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the action of Mayor Alice H. McNutt appointing members of the Civic Beautification Board for terms expiring July 5, 1974, be approved. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE NEW PICK-UP TRUCK FOR THE USE OF THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH A PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE", be adopted.
