Vander Boegh, salary increase Robert Patton Assistant Building & Electrical v Inspector - salary increase Susan Mills - Inspection Department Salary increase No. City of Paducah December 30, 1974 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p.m., on December 30, 1974, Mayor Protem Puryear presided in the absence of Mayor McNutt, and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear, Commissioner Brumley was absent when the meeting was called to order. Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the executed copies of the notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m. on December 30, 1974, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, and Mayor Protem Puryear (3) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the claim of Marion and Charlesella Porter in the amended amount of $1,974.15 for damage to their 1971 Pontiac which was struck by a City Police Vehicle driven by Danny Clayton Midyett on October 23, 1974 at 6th & Caldwell Streets, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a complete and final release. This motion supersedes the motion passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 26, 1974. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (3) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made: 1. The resignation of James Morris, maintenance man No. 2 in the Parks and Recreation Department, be accepted, effective December 27, 1974. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, and Mayor Protem Puryear (3). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, as follows: Upon recommendation of the City Manager, I move that the following personnel changes be made: 1. Dale Gentner, assistant recreation supervisor, be reclassified as recreation supervisor at a salary of $700.00 per month, effective January 6, 1975. 2. That the compensation of Don C. Vander Boegh, Jr. street construction inspector for the Engineering Department, be increased from $725.00 per month to $781.00 per month, effective January 6, 1975, and that he be authorized expenses for the use of his own automobile in his employment with the city at the rate of $0.15 per mile for all driving within McCracken County, and that the salary and auto expenses be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Accounts Nos. 3100 and 3107. 3. That the compensation of Robert Patton, assistant electrical inspector, be increased from $750.00 per month to$810.00 per month, effective January 6, 1975, and that said salary be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 3000. 4. That Susan Mills, a clerk -typist in the Inspection Department, receive a j monthly salary increase from $460.00 per month to $500.00 per month, effective January 6, 1975, said salary,to be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 3000, and that she be entitled to such step increases as are provided for permanent clerk -typist employed by the City of Paducah. That Connie Travelstead Harmon, a clerk -typist in the Finance Department, receive a monthly salary increase from $460.00 per month to $500.00per month, effective January 6, 1975, said salary to be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 1200, and that she be entitled to such step increases as are provided for permanent clerk -typist employed by the City of Paducah. 6. That the City Manager be authorized to amend the contract with Clyde Cronch for mechanic services on Paducah Police vehicles from $700.00 per month to $756.00 per month, effective January 6, 1975. Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reports of the Paducah Water Works for the month of December, 1974, be received and filed. No. December 30, 1974 Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (3) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2-52 AND 2-191, AND REPEALING SECTION 2-50 AND SECTION 2-187 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (3) . At this point Commissioner Brumley arrived at the meeting. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 10-49, 10-50, 10-51, 10-52, 10-54, 10-55, 10-56, 10-58. 10-59 AND 10-61 OF CHAPTER 10'CIVIL SERVICE', OF THE -CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas. Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an C0 ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTIONS (a) , (b),,,AND (k) OF SECTION 12-28 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-1 'NUMBER, RANK AND SALARIES OF MEMBERS OF DEPARTMENT' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-47 'NONCIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES GENERALLY', OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1975 WITH WOODALL & MELTON, INC", be adopted.
