Cha s to i ne & Haba cker Request Bids Resurface Streets ___ City of Paducah February 13, 1973 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m. on February 13, 1973, Mayor Protem Puryear presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) , Mayor McNutt being absent. Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading of the Minutes for January 23, January 30 and February 6, 1973 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby,that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Gresham & Kerr, John Keeling Associates, for design of Fire Station No. 5 at 17th & Broadway, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the bid of Lassiter & McKinney Dodge, Inc. for sale to the City of a Maxi Van to be used for the transportation of senior citizens, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that upon the recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made: 1. That the following temporary employees in the Park Department be terminated, retroactive to February 9, 1973: Leah Russell, special activities assistant Suzanne Stacey, needlework instructor Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Lambert offered miction, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Mullen Motor Company, Incl, for sale to the City of a 1973 Buick LeSabre automobile, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4). Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The Travelers Insurance Company, for a period of one year from January 2, 1973, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of thi Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, INCLUDING THE RAISING AND RESETTING OF MANHOLES" , be adopted. Lassiter McKinn y Maxi Van i Board of Commissioners No. 19 City of Paducah February 13, 1973 Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR ONE (1) NEW RIDING TRACTOR MOWER TO BE USED IN THE CEMETERY DEPARTMENT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL TO BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN AUTOMOBILE IMPOUNDMENT AREA", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) . Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF LASSITER & McKINNEY DODGE, INC. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 15 PASSENGER MAXI VAN FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF SENIOR CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
