At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 p.m. on January 30, 1973, Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commission-
ers Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 p.m on January 30,
1973, be received and filed. Ad opted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
M,jayor McNutt made the following appointments: I hereby appoint the following
to serve as members of the Citizens Advisory Commission for Cable Television:

Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
letter signed by Frank L. Steel, an employee in the Maintenance Department, in which
he waives and relinquishes any and all rights to a disability pension, or benefits of
any type, arising out of any illness or disability whatsoever directly or indirectly
relating to an existing back problem, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner,Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that upon
the recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made:
1. That Clarence R. Liggon, sr., a laborer in the Parks Department, be
terminated effective January 17, 1973.
2. That Tilghman Tade be employed as Inspector in the Engineering Department.
at a monthly salary of $400.00 per momth , plus an allowance of $50.00 per
month for use of his own personal automobile as provided by ordinance.
He further moved that the retirement age requirements of the City of Paducah'
be waived for the employment of Tilghman Tade for a period of 18 months
from February 5, 1973.

Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that
the reports of the Paducah Water Works for the month of January, 1973, be received
and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Allan Rhodes, Inc. for
sale to the City of one (1) 1973 Galaxie 500, four door sedan automobile, be received
and filed . Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
y Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMISSION FOR
CABLE TELEVISION, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO APPOINT THE MEMBERS OF
SAID COMMISSION", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
V Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN AUTHORIZATION TO KELLEY TRANSPORTATION
COMPANY, INC. FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A MOTOR BUS
TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE TRANSPORTATION FOR
HIRE OF PASSENGERS AS A COMMON CARRIER; FIXING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH GRANT,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF RAY H. MULLEN MOTOR COMPANY, INC,
FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE 1973 BUICK LeSABRE CUSTOM FOUR DOOR HARDTOP AUTOMOBILE
FOR USE BY THE MAYQR, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH
PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an
:. ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CREATING DIVISION 3, INSPECTOR, OF ARTICLE IX,
DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING IN CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND SPECIFICALLY CREATING SECTIONS 2-190 AND 2-191" , be adopted

ESTABLISHING SUCH RULES AND REGULATIONS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
