HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/03/74Board of Commissioners File contract Shelton Ford Tractor Backhoe -loader Report of Planning V Commission denying rezoning at Berger Road & Lone Oak Road File contract Woodall ^ Motor Sales on 3 dump trucks Employ temporary Clerks in Finance Office Tax Exonerations Nos 23056 thru 23324 File contract West Kenti: Equipment Company for Tilt Top Trailer City of Paducah No. December 3.'1974 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 p.m., on December 3, 1974, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m. , on December 3, 1974, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Shelton Ford Tractor for sale to the city of a new 1974 Ford Backhoe -loader, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the report of the Paducah Planning Commission setting forth its reason for denying the application of Kentucky Rib -Eye Company for rezoning of property located at the intersection of Lone Oak Road and Berger Road, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Woodall Motor Sales for sale to the city of three dump trucks for use by the Street Department, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded byJCommissioner Puryear, that upon recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. The following persons be employed as temporary clerks in the Finance Department, effective December 16, 1974, at a salary of $300.00 per month: Pauline Slankard Dorothy L. Borton Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that Exonerations prepared and delivered by the City Treasurer numbered 23056 through 23324 be received and filed and the amounts of same totaling $17,135.60 be exonerated on tax bills shown and I designated by said Exonerations. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and West Kentucky Equipment Company for sale to the city of a new Miller Tilt Top Trailer for use by the Street Department, Proceedings of Board of Commissioners No. 329 City of Paducah December 3, 1974 be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $5,000.00 TO CLYDE F. BOYLES AND BEULAH BOYLES FUTRELL, CO -TRUSTEES AND CO-EXECUTORS OF CLEVUS S. BOYLES ESTATE, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A PERMANENT AND PERPETUAL EASEMENT IN THE VICINITY OF U. S. HIGHWAY 62 IN McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY" be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BELMONT EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF THREE (3) 3 -WHEEL REFUSE VEHICLES FOR USE BY THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
