Robertson to C Operator File bids on Backhoe-loa At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7: 30 p.m., on November 12, 1974, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Pur -year and Mayor McNutt. (4) , Commissioner. Brumley was absent. Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading of the Minutes for October 22, 29 and November 5,- 1974 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby,, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that this Board receive and file the bids of the following contractors for labor and material for relocation of sewage lines and lift station near Interstate 24 and U. S. 62 interchange: Presley Plumbing and Heating Company Tilford Plumbing and Heating, Inc. Charles E. Story Construction Company Harper & Arterburn, Inc. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the following bids for sale to the City of Paducah of a tilt type trailer, be received and filed: Shelton Ford Tractor Whayne Supply Company Brandeis Machinery & Supply West Kentucky Equipment Company Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that upon I recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. Carolyn Bunger be employed as part-time stenographer in the Parks and Recreation Department, at a salary of $2.00 per hour, retroactive to November 11, 1974. 2. John B. Robertson, sewer maintenance man in the Street Department. be promoted to equipment operator C in said department, at a salary of $3.51 per hour, retroactive to- November 11, 1974. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the following bids for sale to the City of Paducah of a Backhoe -Loader, be received and filed: Shelton Ford Tractor West Kentucky Equipment Company Kentucky Machinery, Inc. Brandeis Machinery & Supply Corporation Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . File bids on 3 dump trucks Execute License Federal Aviation Adn runway end lighting system No, 12, 1974 Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that a copy of the Resolution adopted by the Electric Plant Board on October 23, 1974, pertaining to the Schedule of Rates and Charges, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a copy of the motion adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on November 4, 1974, recommending closing of a portion of a ten foot alley lying between North 8th Street and Oak Street and running from Pine Street to Olive Street, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . 319 Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby,as follows: I move that a copy of the motion adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on November 4, 1974, denying the request for the closing of a portion of an 18.5 foot alley beginning on Afton Avenue and running in a northwesterly direction therefrom, be received and filed. I further move that the action of the Paducah Planning Commission denying said request be approved. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a copy of the motion adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission recommending closing of North Central Avenue lying between Woodland Drive and Country Club Lane, subject to the retention by the City of a 25 foot sanitary sewer and utility easement, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . . ' Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the Lease and -Covenant, dated -November 5, 1974, between the City of Paducah and Eagle Enterprises 9 Inc. leasing certain property in- the vicinity of Mathis Drive, Ross Avenue, 27th Street" and Park Avenue, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4)-. Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the following bids for sale to the City of Paducah of three (3) dump trucks be received and filed. S HIGHWAY 62 INTERCHANGE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
