Civil Service Arnold Hearon-Par City of November 5, 1974 - 315 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p.m., on November 5, 1974, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) , Commissioners Brumley and Hornsby being absent (2) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m. , on November 5, 1974, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the application to rezone the property of Mrs. Margerite Weiss and Fred Morgan, Jr. from R-3 to B-1, dated September 16, 1974, together with the denial of the Paducah Planning Commission, dated October 10, 1974, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the liability insurance policy of Angels of Mercy, Inc., be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to Laverne Littleton d/b/a Littleton Plumbing & Heating Repair Service and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from November 1, 1974, be received, approved and filed . Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. The following be employed as gym supervisors in the Parks Department, retro- active to November 4, 1974, ata salary of $15.00 per session: Bernie Miller Monte -Peck Richard Ragland James Winn Donald ' Smith B. T. Brooks William E. Shelton Sam Cain Dennis Gibson Lawrence Smithmeyer 2. John A. Dossett, lieutenant: in the Paducah Fire Department', be promoted to Captain in said department to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Captain Sol'Be'ckenbaugh, said promotion to be- a feetive November 11, 1974. 3. Kenneth Holliday, firefighter in the Paducah Fire Department, be promoted to 6`. Lieutenant in said department, effective November 11, 1974 4. Carol Alford, clerk -typist in the Finance Department, be placed under civil ­ 11service for such position, effective November 11a_1974. 5. Arnold Hearon by employed'as Square Dance -Instructor in' the Parks & Recreation "r Department, at a salary of $7.00 per session, retroactive to November 1, 1974. Ross Ave, etc. City of Paducah November 5, 1974 Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF THREE (3) SATELLITE REFUSE ~COLLECTION VEHICLES FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH LINDON H. PRYOR d/b/a PRYOR COLLECTION AGENCY, FOR THE COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WOODALL MOTOR SALES FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) TRUCK AND CHASSIS AND ONE (1) TWENTY CUBIC YARD REFUSE PACKER BODY FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF TEN (10) NEW 1975 FOUR DOOR AUTOMOBILES AND ONE (1) 1975 VAN FOR USE IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXERCISE THE CITY'S OPTION WITH ANGELS OF MERCY, INC. FOR THE YEAR 1975 FOR A $10,000.00 ANNUAL PAYMENT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3). Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman; that an Ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WALTER C. DOLLINGER COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF TEN (10);SUPER, SECUR (MODEL SS-5150-FDW) CENTER MOUNTED STAINLESS STEEL WATER CLOSET LAVATORY COMBINATIONS, FOR USE IN THE PADUCAH CITY JAIL, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A -CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. -Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,: Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor -McNutt (3) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER No. 317 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah November 5 1974 INTO A LEASE AND COVENANT WITH EAGLE ENTERPRISES, INC. FOR THE LEASE OF CERTAIN 'CITY PROPERTY IN THE VICINITY OF MATHIS DRIVE, ROSS AVENUE 27TH STREET AND PARK AVENUE", be adopted.
