ORDINANCE NO. 2014-4-8133
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT
AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE KENTUCKY
OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY FOR A DISTRACTED DRIVING ENFORCEMENT
GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a reimbursement grant through the
Kentucky Office of Highway Safety by Municipal Order No. 1760 on March 18, 2014, for
overtime traffic enforcement activities related to distracted driver traffic enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety has approved the application
and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Grant Agreement, and
all documents relating thereto, with the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety in the amount of
$30,000.00 for overtime traffic enforcement activities related to distracted driver traffic
enforcement during the week of April 7 through May 18, 2014. No local cash match is required.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Project Account No. PO0079.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
