Mayor McNutt offered motion seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called' Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p. m. , on July 2, 1974, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) Petition alfeiy -- - Commi-ssioner Brumley offered motion • seconded by Commissioner Coleman, opening btw. . Center, Seitz, Miss. & Virginilt that the petition signed by Mrs. Dorothy Beyer and others, requesting the opening of an alley between Center and Seitz, Mississippi and Virginia Streets, be received and filed. Adopted. on call of the Roll,. Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Planning Com. Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that �' recommend a copy of a motion adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on July 1, 1974, recommending closing portion Adams St. S 2n closing of a portion of Adams Street extending from the north line of South 2nd Street, in a to Floodwall northerly direction, a distance of 180.8 feet to the Paducah Floodwall, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that File bids on hay baler the following bids for purchase from the City of Paducah of a hay baler, be received and filed: Larry Mathis Carl McNeil John R. Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that Resignation upon recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made: Kenneth Nelson 1. The resignation of Kenneth Nelson, city planner, be received, filed and accepted, Jack Whaley effective July 19, 1974. Director of Parks 2. Jack Whaley, recreation supervisor in the Parks & Recreation Department, be promoted to Director in said department, retroactive to July 1, 1974, at a salary of $940.00 per month. Wm. Tolley to % Sewer Maint 3. William Tolley, collector in the refuse department, be promoted to sewer maintenance man in the street department, retroactive to July 1, 1974, at a salary of $3.41 per hour. Jimmy Simmons Vehicle body 4. Jimmy Simmons be employed as vehicle body repairman in the street department, repairman retroactive to July 1, 1974, at a salary of $3.61 per hour. Terry Walker 5. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS AND DRIVE APRONS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION", 'be introduced and remain on file for. one week for public inspection in thecompletedform in which it shall "be put upon its final passage.
