At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Ch in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m., on March 26, 1974, Mayor McNutt pre; and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the of the Minutes for March 12 and 19, 1974 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt made the following appointments: The terms of office of Glenn Schrader and Marshall Jones as members of the Paducah Golf Commission having expired, I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, reappoint Glenn Schrader and appoint Thomas E. Lambert for terms of four years, so that said Commission shall be composed of the following members: Keith Bryant whose term expires March 26, 1975 Harry Bolser whose term expires March 26, 1976 Frank Paxton whose term expires March 26, 1977 Glenn Schrader whose term expires March 26, 1978 Thomas E. Lambert whose term expires March 26, 1978 Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the action of Mayor Alice H. McNutt reappointing Glenn Schrader and appointing Thomas E. Lambert as members of the Paducah Golf Commission, be approved. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon the recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. The resignation of George W. Meadows as maintenance man in the Maintenance Department, be accepted, retroactive to March 19, 1974. 2. The compensation of Don C. Vander Boegh, Jr . , street construction inspector for the Engineering Department, be increased from $675 per month to $725 per month, effective April 1, 1974; and that his salary be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 3100. 3. John T. Ragland, laborer in the Maintenance Department, be placed under civil service for such position, retroactive to March 4, 1974. 4. Dave Anderson, collector in the Refuse Department, be placed under civil service for such position, retroactive to February 18, 1974. 5. The following be employed as temporary truck drivers in the Parks Department, at a salary of $2.25 per hour, retroactive to March 25, 1974: Larry Michael Cope Charles Henry Quesnell Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Request bids Economy type automobile for Park Dept. ___ City of Paducah March 9,6, 1974 Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley that the $37, 976.25 to be used in the approval from the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation of the sum of y _ construction of Project No. 21-00250, Kolb Park Wading Pool, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the bid submitted by Motorola Communications and Electronics,- Inc . for one base station and five - function digital decoder for use by the City of Paducah Civil Defense, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the Audit Report of the Paducah Airport Corporation for the year 1973, prepared by Williams, Williams & Lentz, Certified Public Accountants, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the resignation of Marshall M. Jones as a member of the Paducah Golf Commission be received, accepted and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . �t Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Audit Report of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, prepared by Allen & Barnett, Certified Public Accountants, for the year ended December 31, 1973, be received and filed, and that the City Treasurer be directed to publish a condensed form of said Audit Report. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . / Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the proposed contract° between the City of Paducah and Peck Associates, Inc . , for the construction Lc . of a training facility for the Paducah Fire Department, be received and filed. Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION I OF ORDINANCE NO. 71-7-492 ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING EMPLOYMENT OF STAFF TO CARRY OUT THE MECHANICSBURG CODE ENFORCEMENT PROJECT FIXING SALARIES, GRANTING CERTAIN AUTHORITY TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AND RATIFYING PREVIOUS PROPER ACTS BY THE STAFF", be adopted. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 1974 COMPACT STATION WAGON FOR USE BY THE AUXILIARY POLICE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF $12,112.75 FROM THE CITY OF PADUCAH GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT TO THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED 'PURCHASE REGION PHASE II COMMUNICATIONS, CITY OF PADUCAH, SUB -GRANTEE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS, No. 206 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners Cify of Paducah March 26, 1974 _ Execute J Contract Peck & Assoc. Training Facility for Fire Dept. INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE BASE STATION SPLIT CHANNEL RADIO COMMUNICATIONS REPEATER SYSTEM, AND ONE FIVE -FUNCTION DIGITAL DECODER TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH CIVIL DEFENSE SYSTEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH PECK ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TRAINING FACILITY FOR THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPART- MENT" , be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
