City of Appoint Members Bicentennial Com Employ Allie Mor CATV Consultant File bids Station v Wagon for Auxiliary Police Settle claim Sandra Darnell 'March 19,-,1974 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p.m. , on March 19, 1974, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m., on March 19, 1974, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt made the following appointments: I move that the following members be appointed to the Kentucky Historical Events Celebration Commission Paducah -McCracken County Bicentennial Committee: Charles Cissell _Tom'Russell ,. _.. H. C. Mathis Mrs . Robert Hassman Clyde Lawter -Mrs. Golda Beaman' Mrs. Andrew Morton eel -Carroll- :.. Rev . C. K. Henry Mrs. Christine Jones and that- the aforesaid members -serve -jointly with the following members who are appointed to said committee by Hon .' Raymond C Schultz, McCracken County Judge: Miss Mary M. Hoffman Preston Kennedy Mrs. Ann Johnston Cliff Gill Jack Carroll' Donald Clemons Charles Katterjohn Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman that Allie Morgan be retained by the City of Paducah as a CATV Consultant at a salary of $700.00 per month, and that this motion be retroactive to March 11, 1974. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the following bids for sale to the City of one 1974 compact station wagon for use by the Auxiliary Police , be received and filed: } Allan Rhodes, Inc. Wilson Chevrolet -Cadillac , Inc. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the claim of Sandra Darnell in the amount of $271.98 for damage to her 1966 Buick automobile caused by being struck by a City Street Department vehicle on March 8, 1974, at 13th & Park Avenue, No. 200 Proceedings of March 19, File contract Kentucky Machinery Excavator Request bids Cab & Chassis Front Loading Refuse Body Request bids pickup truck Parks & Ree. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Kentucky Machinery, Inc. for sale to the City of a 1973 Warner & Swasey excavator, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) CAB AND CHASSIS FOR THIRTY (30) CUBIC YARD FRONT LOADING REFUSE BODY FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 1974 COMPACT STATION WAGON FOR USE BY THE AUXILIARY POLICE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILLIAM E. SCOTT AND WIFE, PATRICIA SCOTT, (709 SOUTH 13TH STREET, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY) TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT 4, BLOCK 13, CHURCHILL'S ADDITION ON SOUTH 13TH STREET FOR THE SUM OF $500.00 , AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED", be adopted.
