W .Thomack IReport of Board' of Equalization At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7: 30 p.m. on March 12, 1974, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the reading of the Minutes for February 26 and March 5 1974 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . A hearing was held on the City Manager's Budget for the year 1974. Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made: 1. Emma Whiteside, secretary inthe `Street Department, be promoted to Office Manager in said department, retroactive to March 4, 1974, at„a salary of $540.00 per month. John T. 2. to laborer in said Ragland, departmenttem orary , etroactive t laborer Maintenance Department, be promoted March 4, 1974, at a salary of $2.68 per hour. 3. Cary MacDonald, Craft Instructor in the Recreation Department, be promoted to Handicraft instructor in said department, retroactive to March 4, 1974, at a salary of $425.00 per month. A. W. Thomack in the amount of $66.89 for damage- to_the windshield of his 1972 VW Station Wagon, caused by cinders thrown from a city truck, be allowed,, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said, claim after first obtaining a complete and final _. release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt(5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear that the report of the Board of Equalization for the year 1974, be received, filed and spread upon the Minutes. Evans, Clerk Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that copies of letters dated March 7, 1974, from the City Clerk to Dr. David Whitehead, Superin- tendent of the Board of Education, and to Mr. Ed Ballard of the Department of Revenue, together with a copy of the certification as to the total value of all property" in the City, of Paducah subject to taxation in the year '1974, be received and filed . , Adopted ohi ca11 of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5)�- Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Allan Rhodes, Inc, for sale to the City of a 1974' Ford Pinto Station Wagon for use in the Fire Department, be received - and filed. Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) TRUCK AND CHASSIS FOR TWENTY (20) CUBIC YARD REFUSE PACKER BODY, FOR USE BY THE REFUSE' DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH", be adopted. Adopted on ' call of the Roll-, Yea's, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an .`ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF SECTION 2-47; 2-49; 2-52; 2-187 AND 2-191 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that eery an ordinance entitled - "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KENTUCKY MACHINERY, INC. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE WARNER & SWASEY MODEL 300 HYDRO- SCOPIC MULTI-PURPOSE EXCAVATOR FOR USE- IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY , MANAGER TO ENTER INTO -A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted.
