At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah,'Kentucky, at 4:30 p.m. on January 4, 1974, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert; Puryear Wand Mayor McNutt (4) , Commissioner Harvey being absent. Mayor McNutt offered motion, ' seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held on' January 4, 1974, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The Travelers Insurance Company to Tom Waynick, d/b/a Chastaine & Habacker Plumbing Company and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from January 2, 1974, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . j Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the Y liability insurance policy issued by MFA Insurance Companies to Charles Crowell d/b/a Crowell Concrete Construction, fora period of one year from November 13, 1973, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the Certificate of Insurance iffued"by the Fidelity and Casualty Company of New'Y ork to Ed Downs & _ Son, Inc. &the City of Paducah, Kentucky, period eriod of one, year from January 1, 1974, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the" Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the Certificate of Insurance issued by the Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to Harper & Arterburn and the City of Paducah, 'Kentucky, for a period of one year from January 1, 1974, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the bids for Workmen's Compensation Insurance submitted by Woodall & Melton, Inc. Bradshaw & Weil, Inc . , and The Western Rivers Agency, Inc . , be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear .and -Mayor McNutt (4)-. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC . , FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) NEW 1974 STATION WAGON FOR USE IN THE -POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Goodrich Store Tires No. 171 January -4,- 19-7-4 - -- -; - Commissioner Hornsby offered -motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE W:ORKMEN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE -CITY OF PADUCAH; KENTUCKY, FOR THE�YEAR'1974 WITH WOODALL &MELTON, INC"', be introduced and remain on file for one week for public -inspection in the completed form in which it shall b6 -put' upon'its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor:McNutt (4) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion; seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN -ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (h) OF SECTION 2-22 'SICK LEAVE GENERALLY', OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY -OF PADUCAH KENTUCKY",- be Adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert,Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear. that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF GRESHAM AND KERR JOHN KEELING ASSOCIATED, FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVIC ES, RELATING TO THE'TVA TOWNLIFT PROPOSAL AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH SERVICIES", be adopted,.. Adopted on call of the roll, 'Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HARPER. & ARTERBURN , INC . , FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SWIMMING POOL AND BATH HOUSE TO BE LOCATED IN BLACKBURN PARK, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) , Commissioner Hornsby voted "No". Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DUNCAN INDUSTRIES FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF APPROXIMATELY THIRTY-SIX MANUALLY OPERATED PARKING METERS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF B. F. GOODRICH STORE FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH ITS REQUIREMENT OF NEW AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK TIRES FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JANUARY 1, 1974 TO DECEMBER 31, 1974, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. DOROTHY GIPSON, 820 NORTH 22ND STREET, TO PURCHASETHE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT 1, BLOCK 8, O'BRIANS ADDITION; FOR THE SUM OF $26"0.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED", be adopted. - Adopted on call of the Roil, Yeas', Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert; Puryear-and Mayor McNutt (4) . Mayor McNutt offered _motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A NON- EXCLUSIVE' CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE IN THE'CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; PROVIDING FOR THE TERM OF THE FRANCHISE, SELECTION OF THE FRANCHISEE, FRANCHISE PROVISIONS AND -RESTRICTIONS, RATES AND CHARGES, FRANCHISE FEES; AND ESTABLISHING THE PADUCAH CABLE COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY", be adopted.
