A Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners was held on March 25,
1978, in the Commission Chamber at City Hall, at 9:30 a.m. Mayor Murphy presided,
and upon call of the Roll, the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (4) . Commissioner Coleman was absent (1) .
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear,
that the executed copies of the Notice for Called Meeting, to be held at 9:30 a.m. on
Saturday, March 25, 1978, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (4) .
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear,
that the Board of Commissioners go into Executive Session for the purposes of discussing
the proposals submitted in negotiations with Local 1586. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (4) .
Upon conclusion of the Executive Session, the Board reconvened in the
Commission Chamber, whereupon the Mayor announced there was no further business.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
