Board of Commissioners
City of. Paducah. March 22, 1978
A Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners was held in the Commission Chamber,
City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5: 00 p.m. on March 22, 1978. Mayor Murphy presided and
upon call of the Roll, the following answered to their name: Commissioners Coleman, Grumley,
Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) .
Commissioner Meeks offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the
Board go into Executive Session for purposes of discussing a threatened lawsuit and current
litigation between the City and Thomas Bartholomew, et al. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) .
Upon conclusion of the forty-five (45) minutes Executive Session, the Board re-
convened in the Commission Chamber, whereupon Mayor Murphy offered motion, seconded
by Commissioner Coleman, that the executed copies of the Notices for Called Meeting to be
held at 5: 00 p.m., on March 22, 1978, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) .
Mayor Murphy offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that an
ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTIES LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTIES TO BE
INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS," be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Meeks, and Mayor Murphy (4) . Commissioner Puryear
voted "Nay". This Ordinance was read in full.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
