A MUNICIPAL ORDER REQUIRING THAT A POLICE OFFICER
CANDIDATE SHALL NOT BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE CITY COMMISSION FOR
RECOMMENDATION FOR HIRE UNTIL A THOROUGH BACKGROUND
INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND IS ON FILE IN THE POLICE
CHIEF'S OFFICE
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby requires that a police
officer candidate shall not be brought before the City Commission for recommendation
for hire until a thorough background investigation has been completed and is on file in
the Police Chief's office.
SECTION 2. This Order will be in full force and effect from and after
September 1, 2002.
