A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN A UNIVERSAL HIRING MATCHING GRANT
FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR THE HIRING OF THREE
POLICE OFFICERS
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary
to obtain a Universal Hiring Grant from the United States Department of Justice in the amount of
$225,000 for the hiring of three police officers. This is to be reimbursed over a three-year period.
The local required cash match for the three-year term of the grant is in the amount of $155,400.
SECTION 2. This order will be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
