MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 9 AA
A MUNICIPAL ORDER IMPLEMENTING A PERSONNEL
POLICY FOR CITY EMPLOYEES CALLED TO ACTIVE
MILITARY DUTY
WHEREAS, at the October 16, 2001, City Commission Meeting the
Board of Commissioners reached a consensus to provide health insurance for city
employees who are in the military reserve or National Guard and who are called to active
military duty during the current national crisis.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah hereby
directs the City Manager to implement a procedure to continue to pay the City portion of
employee health insurance coverage while an employee is serving on active military duty
as a result of the September, 2001, national emergency.
SECTION 2. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its adoption.
