At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, held on Wednesday, May 17,
2006, at 4:00 p.m., Mayor Paxton presided, and upon call of the roll by the City Clerk,
the following answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Guess, Sirk, Smith and
Mayor Paxton (5).

R & F CALLED MEETING NOTICES
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Guess, that the
Notices of Called Meeting for 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2006, be received and
filed.
Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Guess, Sirk, Smith and
Mayor Paxton (5).
ORDINANCE – EMERGENCY
ESTABLISHING ESCROW AMOUNT TO GAIN ACCESS TO FALES
PROPERTY FOR THE PECAN DRIVE—BUCKNER LANE ROADWAY
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Commissioner Guess offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the
Board of Commissioners introduce and adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO PAY THE SUM
OF $25,000 TO THE McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT CLERK, TO BE HELD IN
ESCROW FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PECAN DRIVE/BUCKNER LANE
ROADWAY RvIRPOVEMENT PROJECT." This ordinance is summarized as follows:
That the Finance Director is authorized and directed to pay the sum of $25,000 to the
McCracken Circuit Court Clerk, to be held in escrow for construction of the Pecan
Drive/Buckner Lane Roadway Improvement Project.

ORDINANCE – ADOPTION
AGREEMENT FOR TOURISM SIGNAGE ALONG I-24
Commissioner Sirk offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Smith, that the Board of
Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LIMITED SUPPLEMENTAL GUIDE
SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET." This
ordinance is summarized as follows: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute a Limited Supplemental Guide Signs Agreement with the Kentucky
Transportation Cabinet, in an amount not to exceed $12,000.00, for the following
attractions: Paducah Lowertown Arts District, National Quilt Museum, Players
Bluegrass Downs, Carson Center, and River Heritage Museum.

COMMISSIONER CONCERNS
Commissioner Coleman:
Request for signage in downtown from Jim King.
Residents of Chateau Maurice, townhouse complex, located on Harrison Street have
complained that there is no curb or gutters on their street or in the area from 28th to 32nd
Street.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
