PROPERTY LOCATED AT 501 AND 513 SOUTH 6TH STREET TO MCCRACKEN
COUNTY FOR THE MCCRACKEN COUNTY JAIL EXPANSION AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED AND ANY
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SAME
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby approves the transfer of real
property located at 501 and 513 South 6th Street to McCracken County for the expansion
of the McCracken County Jail.
SECTION 2. That the property authorized in Section 1 above, at 501
South 6th Street, heretofore approved for transfer, is more.particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the intersection of 6th and Adams Streets on
the south side of Adams Street and the west side of 6th Street
and being the same point of beginning as designated as Tract
II in Deed Book 477, Page 293, McCracken County Clerk's
Office; thence from said beginning point and along the westerly
side of 6th Street toward Jackson Street a distance of 113-1/3
feet to a point; thence at right angles and toward 7th Street
a distance of 165 feet to a point in an alley; thence at right
angles and toward Adams Street in a northerly direction a
distance of 113-1/3 feet to a point located on the south side of
Adams Street; thence at right angles and with the southerly
side of Adams Street in an easterly direction a distance of
165 feet to the point of beginning.
Being the same property conveyed to Heights Finance
Corporation, by deed dated December 17, 2007 and recorded in
Deed Book 1136, Page 221, McCracken County Clerk's Office.
SECTION 3. That the property authorized in Section 1 above, at 513
South 6th Street, heretofore approved for transfer, is more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the south side of Sixth Street 113-
1/3 feet from the intersection of Sixth and Adams Street and
43-1/3 feet from A. C. Fischer's corner; thence with Sixth
Street up the river 43-1/3 feet to a stake; thence at right
angles 165 feet to an alley; thence at right angles with said
alley towards Adams Street 43-1/3 feet; thence at right
angles 165 feet (formerly erroneously set out as 65 feet in
previous deeds) to the point of beginning.
Being in all respects the same property conveyed to Tim
Phillips and wife, Tena Phillips by Deed dated 2000
of record in Deed Book 942, Page 293, McCracken County
Court Clerk's Office.
SECTION 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed and any
necessary documents relating to same to transfer the real property to McCracken County.
SECTION 5. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its adoption.
