Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah July 30, 1986
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambers, City Hall,
at 1:30 p.m. on July 30, 1986, Mayor Viterisi presided and upon call of the roll, the following answered
to their names: Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Cole, that the executed copies
of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 1:30 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 1986, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi
Commissioner Cole offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon the
recommendation of the City Manager, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah orders that the
personnel changes on the attached list be approved.

Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
Commissioner Cole offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that Municipal Order
authorizing the City Manager to make the necessary arrangements with Simmons Engineering, Inc. to
perform certain preliminary engineering work on the Hickory landfill site, be adopted. Adopted on call
of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Ford, that the Board of
Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH PADUCAH COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO OPERATE GOVERNMENTAL ACCESS CHANNEL 11 FOR THE CITY OF
PADUCAH". This ordinance was read in full. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Cole,
Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
Commissioner Ford offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the Board of
Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE CREATING A CITY -COUNTY EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS
SERVICE BOARD". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Creates a Paducah -McCracken County Emergency
Communications Service Board, and establishes the guidelines for the appointment of Board members, and
for the operation of the Board. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford,
Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Cole, that the Board of
Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM
OF $4,595.74 TO BELTLINE ELECTRIC FOR PHASE II COMPLETION OF REWIRING OF CITY HALL FACILITIES AND FINAL
INSTALLATION OF E911 WIRING". This ordinance was read in full

Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Cole, that the Board of
Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE
SUM OF $2,857.23 TO PADUCAH SERVICE COMPANY FOR SOUNDPROOFING MATERIALS AND CARPETING FOR E911
FACILITIES". This ordinance was read in full. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Cole,
Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
Commissioner Ford offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the Board of
Commissioners go into Executive Session for discussions which might lead to the appointment, discipline
or dismissal of an individual employee. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman,
Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).

At the conclusion of the Executive Session the Board reconvened in the Commissioner Chamber,
whereupon the Mayor announced there was no further business.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
