Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah April 23, 1985
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambers, City Hall,
at 7:00 p.m. on April 23, 1985, Mayor Viterisi presided and upon call of the roll, the following
answered to their names: Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Cole, that the executed copies
of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 1985, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor
Viterisi (5).

Charles Hobbs, representing AFSCME Local 1586, stated that the time for the City's response
Grievance Hearing - to the grievance filed with the City Clerk on April 3, 1985, by AFSCME Local 1586 had exceeded the ten
Grievance Denied
working day time limit and that AFSCME should be awarded the grievance.
After considerable discussion between AFSCME representatives and the Board of Commissioners,
it was agreed by both parties to proceed with the hearing. Charles Hobbs then presented the grievance
on behalf of AFSCME Local 1586.
After lengthy discussion of the grievance, Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by
Commissioner Cole, that the Board of Commissioners to into Executive Session to discuss possible
disciplinary action against an employee or employees. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas,
Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5).
At the conclusion of the Executive Session the Board reconvened in the Commission Chambers,
whereupon Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Cole, that the grievance be
denied. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor
Viterisi (5).
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
