A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR A 2014/2015
REIMBURSEMENT GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000 $61,610 THROUGH THE
KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY TO BE USED TO EXTEND THE "HEADS
UP DON'T BE 1N'TEXT'ICATED PROGRAM" AND FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF A
DISTRACTED DRIVING PREVENTION PROGRAM FOR THE PADUCAH POLICE
DEPARTMENT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a non -law enforcement
application and all documents necessary for a reimbursement grant through the Kentucky Office
of Highway Safety in the amount of $50,000 $61,610. Said grant funds shall be used to extend
the "Heads Up Don't be In'text'icated Program" and for the implementation of a distracted
driving prevention program for the Paducah Police Department. No local cash or in-kind
contribution is required.
SECTION 2. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
