Executive Session - Personnel
August 30, 1988
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chambers at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 1988, Mayor Montgomery
presided, and upon call of the roll, the following answered to their names: Yeas,
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5).
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that
the executed copies of the Notice of Called meeting to be held at 2:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, August 30, 1988, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas,
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5).
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley,
that a Municipal Order entitled, "A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPOINTING CARL HOLDER TO THE
POSITION OF ADMINISTRATIVE ADVISOR TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH", be adopted. Adopted on
call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery
(4). Commissioner Keeling voted nay (1).
Commissioner Keeling offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Leeper, that
the Board of Commissioners introduce and adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE
ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF THE CITY MANAGER". This ordinance was read in full.
Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper
and Mayor Montgomery (5).
Commissioner Leeper offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that
the Board of Commissioners introduce and adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE
CREATING SECTION 2-19.3, ADMINISTRATIVE ADVISOR TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH". This
ordinance was read in full and established the position of Administrative Advisor to
the City of Paducah at a salary of $3,720.00 per month. Adopted on call of the roll,
yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (4). Commissioner
Keeling voted nay (1).
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that
the Board of Commissioners to into Executive Session for discussions which might lead
to the appointment, discipline or dismissal of an individual employee and to discuss
litigation. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners, Coleman, Grumley,
Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5).
At the conclusion of the Executive Session the Board reconvened in the
Commission Chamber whereupon the Mayor announced there was no further business.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
