MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 32
A MUNICIPAL. ORDER AUTHORIZING .THE I MAYOR. TO APPLY FOR AND
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE. UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL _
PROTECTION AGENCY, FOR FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE DESIGN OF „
SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, as a second class city under KRS .81.010,
has the necessary _legal, institutional, managerial,_ and a portion of the financial
resources to finance, construct, operate,, and maintain ,sewage treatment works and
related facilities; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Paducah -McCracken County 201
Facilities Plan, new interceptor sewers, lift stations., force mains, and collector
sewers are required in Paducah and McCracken County; and
WHEREAS, the Hendron Water- District, the Woodlawn, Oakdale and
Husbands Road Sanitation District No. 4, and McCracken _County _Sanitation District
No. 5 (Concord) will cooperate with the City in the development of the proj ect and
each District has indicated its willingness to pay .its proportionate and fair share of
the local costs of the project as will be specifically_ _ formulated. in detailed agree-
ments to be entered into in the near future;
NOW, THEREFORE, 'BE 'IT ORDERED BY THE CITY ,OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of . Paducah apply as lead applicant to the
United States Environmental Protection Agency for' Federal Assistance in performing
an EPA Step '2 Project for the design of sanitary sewer system improvements in
Paducah and McCracken County.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to apply for and execute a
Grant Agreement for said Federal Assistance.
SECTION 3. That 'Wayne S . Up shaw, Cit
Upshaw, Engineer, be authorized -to
serve as the Project Manager for said project.
SECTION 4. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after:
the date of its adoption.
