PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH INSTALLATION SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:— SECTION - 1. That the City Manager, be,-. and �he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for fencing at the City of Paducah • 'Public Works Garage Site, said' invitation for bids to be as follows: ADVERTISEMENT FOR -:B[ -DS RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS The City of Paducah, .Kentucky will` receive bids for Fencing at City,. of Paducah Public. Works Garage Site until 2:00 P.M., on the day of 1980 at the office of the-'Ci.ty Manager, Cityl Hall, Paducah, Kentucky;_ at- which. time,all bids will be publicly opened, in the Commission Chamber of City Hall and read aloud. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project consists of fencing around the City of Paducah Public Works Garage at 10th & Burnett Streets in Paducah, Kentucky. OBTAINING, CONTRACT -DOCUMENTS ` Proposal Forms; Contract Documents, including Plans and Specification, are on file at the office of the City Engineer, City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky. PROPOSAL GUARANTY A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5$) -of the bid shall -be -submitted with each bid. PERFORMANCE BOND AND LABOR AND MATERIAL BOND The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Per- formance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond - each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract. WAGE RATES Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project. EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED The City of Paducah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any in- formalities in the bidding. Tidwell, City Manager 33 SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by a notice posted on the bulletin board at City Hall and by publication pursuant to `KRS Chapter 424. No bids shall be opened within ten days from the dateon which this, Order is adopted, and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening of .bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time for opening of 'same steal] be filed with the Board of Commissioners= who may tet -a contract to the best responsible bidder. - The City shall have the right to refuse, or reject any and all bids. SECTION- 3. This Order shall be in -full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
